US CPSC Issues New Safety Rules for Baby Neck Swim Collars, Full Implementation from Mid-June 2026
America’s CPSC officially enforces updated 16 CFR 1250 standard targeting infant inflatable neck float rings, tightening physical buoyancy testing, anti-tipping performance and harmful chemical limit requirements for all imported baby swimming inflatable products. New regulation stipulates obvious warning labels must be printed on outer package, strictly restricting acrylamide content inside float accessories containing water beads under 325μg standard to avoid infant choking and accidental ingestion risks.
Amazon synchronously upgrades platform entry threshold: all infant inflatable swimming aids sold on US Amazon need laboratory certification reports from ISO17025 qualified testing institutions before shelf approval. In the first five months of 2026, over 12 batches of unqualified Chinese-made baby swim collars were detained at US customs due to failing chemical and stability inspection, pushing export manufacturers to accelerate production process reform.
